Feel like you are always cooking the same things? Need some fun new healthy meal ideas? Below are some of my favorite Trader Joe's items that once you buy once will be hard not to go back for!
This summer I fell in love with TJ's and have been experimenting with just about everything so here are some of my favorites!
BREAKFAST
>>Blueberry Waffles (brought me back to my childhood ---> they are perfect!)
>>Hashbrowns (made from potatoes grown in Idaho & come pre-cooked)
>>Vanilla Bean Organic Creamy Cashew Yogurt or their Greek Yogurt with honey
*TJ's Everything but the Leftovers Seasoning Blend is also a great seasoning to add to avocado toast, eggs, you name it!
LUNCH
>>Lemon Chicken & Arugula Salad (contains couscous and red quinoa with chicken and a spicy roasted red pepper dressing- SO yummy!)
>>Southwest Salad (contains lettuce, black beans, corn, cotija cheese, diced tomatoes, and a tangy Ranch dressing- soo good & great with added grilled chicken!)
*Also the Southwestern Chopped Salad Kit is about 3 servings and hard to get tired of! It contains green cabbage, romaine, cotija cheese, roasted pepitas, tortilla strips, green onions, cilantro, and a spicy southwest avocado dressing) Want some extra protein? Add blackened chicken and a diced avocado!
*If you're making a homemade salad, try the Green Goddess Salad Dressing! Filled with avocados, basil, chives, seasonings such as green onions, garlic, and apple cider vinegar, it is so fresh and yummy.
DINNER
>>Cauliflower Gnocchi (so quick and easy, add some olive oil and slap in the air fryer for a few minutes and add Trader Joe's vegan kale, cashew, and spinach pesto on top!)
>>Spinach Tortellini (add the pesto mentioned above on top^ and you are all set!)
>>Gourmet, homemade pizza! So fun and easy to make and can be healthy! Highly recommend buying TJ's fresh pizza dough (plain, herb, or whole wheat) and having a pizza night with friends or family. After you have your dough, mozzarella, and pizza sauce in the cart, get creative! Whether, it's pesto, mushrooms, olive oil, peppers, or honey on top, try it all!
SNACKS
>>Bamba Peanut Snacks (SO cheap and a perfect light snack)
>>Peanut Butter filled Pretzel Nuggets (I have always loved these and have never been able to find some this good for so little $ +++ they also have almond butter filled ones)
>>Raises the Bar Chewy Granola Bar (with Oats, Millet, Quinoa, Amaranth, Buckwheat, & Dark Chocolate Chunks -- taste is similar to Kind bars just way cheaper!)
APPS/ SIDES
>>Steamed Pork & Ginger Soup Dumplings (save for a cold, rainy night and eat them in sweatpants!)
>>Asparagus Sauté with onions and mushrooms (only 25 calories for all of it!) Add some soy sauce or balsamic and your preferred seasoning, sauté to perfection, and enjoy! Makes you feel like you are in a hibachi restaurant!
>>Vegetable Spring Rolls (filled with kale, edamame, mushrooms, and shredded tofu - put in air fryer until crispy and thank me later!)
SWEET TREATS
>>Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups (If you have not tried these, drop what you're doing and drive to your nearest TJ's right now! They are perfect in every way and I would recommend keeping them in the fridge and expecting to need a refill within 24 hours :))
>>Sublime Ice Cream Sandwiches (2 chocolate chip cookies, vanilla ice cream rolled in mini, sweet-semi chocolate chips, what else could you ask for?!)
>>Dark Chocolate Covered Almonds with sea salt (perfect healthy way to satisfy a sweet tooth!) *Have also heard great things about their Dark Chocolate covered Pomegranate Seeds!
**Also, be sure to grab some flowers for you or a friend on the way out! They are so pretty and inexpensive! Some even look good when they're dead!
