On Monday, October 3rd, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, SWAKE took home the prize at the 2022 SEC Pitch Competition. Competing against twelve other SEC schools, SWAKE continued the year of the dawg, taking home the gold in the entrepreneurial world. CEO and founder of SWAKE, Vanessa Sachs, blew the judges away with her pitch on SWAKE's high-performance sweat-proof cosmetics and her mission of using these products to bridge the gap between beauty and fitness.
The SEC Pitch Competition allows undergraduate and graduate students an opportunity to showcase their business to a panel of judges, experienced in the business world, and have the chance to win some money for their company. Hosted by the E.J. Ourso College of Business at Louisiana State University, each entrepreneur and their school's head of entrepreneurship gathered together for the two day competition and got straight to business. Established in 2015, this competition has acted as a beneficial platform for student entrepreneurs to connect and gain professional expertise while moving further in their ventures. And, Georgia will host next year's competition!
